«A few years ago Béatrice and Nicolas Piette, successful entrepreneurs in France in the field of leisure, decided to settle in Ibiza.
Both from Brittany, passionate about navigation and boats, they realize that Ibiza and Formentera will become leading destinations for water sports.
By creating SunMarine® in 1997, they were at the forefront of companies specializing exclusively in the rental management of yachts and boats in IBIZA. The company moved to Marina IBIZA and in a few years was entrusted by demanding owners with the management of their boats and yachts.
Over the years Nicolas has become a recognized technical and legal expert in the boat management and sale sector and yachts. The company installed in Marina Ibiza since 1998, is also a privileged interlocutor for the hiring of moorings on this port considered as the most luxurious of the Mediterranean. Béatrice, passionate about service, takes care with her team of the custom-made organization of cruises in the Balearic Islands, as well as the organization of day boat trips. In the Balearic Islands, Majorca and Menorca are quite windy, especially from October to April, but Ibiza is very sheltered from the north wind that blows down from France. Other rental boats in Ibiza over 15 meters
Finally, you will find boat rental companies who offer their own boats over 15 meters for exclusive rental use. These are old and reformed boats, ten years and older (Sunseeker type). Here too you have to find out where the boat is moored (anchorage or port). The prices of these boats are more attractive, which is logical, but to be avoided if you are the perfectionist type. How to choose a rental boat?
You must have realized that the offer is plethoric, dozens of platforms and sites offer dozens of boats. First, check if the rental company's activity is boating and if it is based in Ibiza. Ideally, the lessor should manage the boat and the crew. Choose the departure location according to your program. CONDITION of the boats: our boats and yachts are new or recent , all in perfect condition for rental and private use by owners – Under the control of Nicolas, a well-rehearsed team provides: cleaning, mechanical checking , refueling.
A GOOD TABLE: no perfect day on the boat without a good table in a beach restaurant. Béatrice takes care of it - For almost 25 years, we have been working hand in hand with restaurants, they give us the best tables, thanks to them, respectful of this trust, we manage schedules and cancellations. Our customers are loyal to us, of course because we are the best but also because this service is priceless in Ibiza.
PICNIC: over the past two seasons, many have discovered the joys of Picnics.
QUICK BOARDING on board of the rental boat - The meeting point is at the boat whose location will be sent to you, which allows you to park in front of the boat - The rental contract is on board, the boat is ready, the payment remains of the balance of the rental to be made. On the port of Marina Ibiza, you will find paid parking, a free shuttle service if necessary.
THE ITINERARY you will not find typical itineraries at SunMarine®. We don’t want to bring you where all the boats congregate (unless you want to). Consult the most beautiful anchorages and the most beautiful boat trips.
THE TEAM: for a day, the boat is yours, your best guide will be the skipper. General information for rental with crew
1. Legality: Before renting a boat, make sure that it has a rental license, the boats that we manage and rent in Sunmarine have rental licenses. This means that on board there is complete safety equipment, full insurance and civil liability insurance, with all taxes paid up to date, as well as ensuring professional crews. 2. Methods of payment:

- On board the boats, we are pleased to offer you drinks and non-alcoholic drinks (water, fruit juices, soft drinks, beers and ice cream). We are at your disposal for other requests (wines, champagne, aperitifs, picnic baskets). Béatrice is personally responsible for making reservations in beach restaurants if necessary.
- On board the yachts, we are pleased to offer you refreshments and drinks (water, fruit juice, wine, sodas, beers, tea, coffee, etc.), aperitifs prepared by the hostess or the CHEF (if you rented a yacht with a cook) We are at your disposal if you wish to have lunch on board.
- 12 people maximum including the captain.
- On a yacht 12 people maximum +crew if the license permits.
